Product: Turbo exhaust manifold
Application: Performance turbocharger exhaust system
Material: 304 stainless steel under the project specification
Process: Investment casting with blasting and interface finishing
Product and application
The manifold combines curved exhaust passages, flange interfaces and mounting locations in one casting. It was developed for the exhaust side of a performance turbocharger system, where the geometry and elevated-temperature duty had to be reviewed together.

Integrated passages and finished interfaces shown without controlled dimensions.
Project challenge
The connected passages created requirements around wax-pattern and shell accessibility, filling and feeding, wall consistency, distortion risk and access for finishing and inspection. The customer also evaluated durability under its own exhaust-system conditions.
The material and process result therefore remain application-specific. This case does not claim that 304 stainless steel is automatically suitable for every turbocharger temperature or duty cycle.
Manufacturing approach
The route combined drawing and DFM review with investment casting of the integrated geometry. Review covered passage continuity, wall transitions, flange and mounting interfaces, wax and shell handling, casting fill and feeding, distortion control and access for finishing. Blasting supplied the specified external surface condition.

Verification and outcome
The recorded validation included material confirmation, dimensional inspection of the flange and mounting interfaces, visual inspection and customer installation testing. The source record states that the customer accepted the project within its validation scope and continued repeat ordering.
