PART & APPLICATION

What the component needed to do.

The component provides an integrated mounting and support interface in an industrial pneumatic or hydraulic equipment assembly. Multiple attachment features must align consistently while the coated exterior remains suitable for customer-facing equipment installation.

PROJECT REQUIREMENT

What had to be confirmed.

The customer required an A380 high-pressure die-cast component with stable mounting geometry, a smooth black finish and repeat supply for phased orders. The project also needed export-ready packing and documentation for delivery into Europe.

Customer identity, controlled dimensions, prices and downstream equipment details are not included in this public case.

MANUFACTURING CHALLENGE

What required engineering attention.

The integrated bosses, mounting points and section changes required tooling and ejection review to limit distortion and maintain alignment between repeated batches. Surface appearance was also a release condition: the first sample review showed that the required finish needed to be darker, smoother and more consistently matte.

Porosity-sensitive regions were considered during tooling and process review, but this public case does not claim pressure tightness because no publishable leakage-test record has been supplied.

MANUFACTURING ROUTE

How the component moved through production.

The primary process and supporting operations are shown as one connected route.

The production route combined tooling review, high-pressure die casting, controlled ejection, trimming, CNC machining of specified interfaces, black surface treatment and batch inspection. Tooling flow and local section design were reviewed to reduce avoidable casting defects and support repeat geometry.

After the first assembly review, the finish setup was adjusted to achieve the approved black matte appearance. Phased shipments were used to balance production continuity, transit time and customer inventory.

TOOLING & SAMPLE APPROVAL
